Senior year is winding down, and those acceptance letters are staring back at you. Now comes the big question: which college is your college? It's not just about prestige or rankings; it's about finding the place where you'll truly thrive.

Beyond the Glossy Brochures:

  • What Matters MOST? What are your non-negotiables? Is it a strong sense of community? Cutting-edge research? A specific major? Location?

  • Imagine Your Day-to-Day: Picture yourself as a student. What would your typical day look like? Does it align with your lifestyle and preferences?

Ranking with Intention:

  • Prioritize: Here is a sample sheet you can use to compare the colleges you’ve visited and rank aspects 1-5. Take a look at what scores are higher than others, and what that means for what kind of college you are looking for. The goal isn’t to find the college with the most points, but one that aligns with your goals for your future.

  • The "Thrive" Test: Which college will allow you to grow academically, socially, and personally? Where will you feel most supported?

This is Your Decision:

  • Block Out the Noise: Everyone will have an opinion. Use your notes from your visits and your experiences to help influence your decision.

  • Celebrate Your Choices: Having colleges to choose from is exciting!! Take your time and recognize what will be the best fit for you.

Choosing a college is a personal journey. Focus on finding the place where you'll feel challenged, supported, and excited to learn. It's not about finding the "best" college, it's about finding your best college.
